It was soooo hot today. Hotter than I expected. Unfortunately, tomorrow isn't going to be any better! Had to dance in 30 degree heat today plus recruit new members to join Flare. I must say, we got a fair few people that signed up today. Hopefully people won't be put off by the hot heat tomorrow. Last year we had a total of approximately 300 members sign up. We're hoping to beat that this year.
Our performance today lack energy compared to yesterday. Not because we were being slack but just because we were all so tired from the heat and from handing out flyers and recruiting members. I dunno bout everyone else, but I was so out of it. My moves weren't strong, my timing was out, I don't think I was even smiling properly... it was a poor performance from me. Hopfully tmrw will be better... but I doubt it. 34 degrees?! That's just crazy! haiz...

Well everyone seems to be updating so I think its my turn now.
Yes Ling, you are right. I have been busy which is the reason for the lack of updates. Let's see, where to start? I actually can't remember what I have been doing everyday but I do know that I have been out everyday/night.
Ok, Saturday was Chi's party.
Sunday... omg, I can't remember back that far! haha. Though I do remember that we have been REB (Rani, Ernie, Bud)'s apartment so many times in the past two weeks! haha. It's quite bad actually. Feels like I'm living there but not paying rent! >.< But its been fun hanging out at their place. Sunday we went for dessert at their place. Bought cheesecake and apple crumble from safeway and had it at their place. The apartment looked quite bare because they only just moved in on Saturday. But Rani had his computer there already so we listened to music and talked till it was time to go.
Monday I worked on my birthday invites. Hope I've sent them out to most people already. I also had dance practice for O-week. It was a very short practice though. I got there. Practiced for about 20mins. And then Jane came along and showed us photos from the production. And bascially that was the end of the practice. Was gonna go to REB's but I was tired and couldn't be bothered walking all the way there. Plus I thought I better give them a break from me. hehe.
Tuesday was a sad depressing Valentine's Day because I had to spend it with my driving instructor. And not only that, he was yelling at me again for making 'stupid, irresponsible' mistakes. Bleh. I was suppose to go out with the guys that night, to REB's again but I was too upset about my driving lesson that I had an early night.
Wednesday... well wed was a big day for me. I was nervous yet excited. If you wanna know why... just ask! :D hehe.
Thursday... I worked at Chadstone for the first time. Yes, at Chadstone. I got a call at 10am from the manager asking me to fill in a shift because one of the girl's was sick. I was a bit hesitant because Chadstone is a lot bigger and you really need to know where everything else to be able to help the customers. But i thougt, well, they know I've never worked there so they cant really blame me if I stuff up! lolz. It was enjoyable working there though. Got to work in a different type of environment which was interesting. The manager trained at Knox for a couple of days so I had already met her once. And she is the easiest person to get along with. Very very friendly and very helpful. So working there was a breeze. I had lotsa fun. She said she might call me quite often now because she feels she needs another casual person working there sometimes. Good because I get more shifts, bad because of the distant and bad because I start uni soon! Why didn't she call me earlier in the holidays when i had no work?! lolz.
Friday, I went shopping with Mel, Mikey and his sister, Michelle. Mel and Mikey didn't want to go to Chadstone obviously because they work there. So we decided to go to Southland instead. I needed to find a 21st present and to get envelopes for my invites. It was a fun day... especially the last part where mel and I stumbled across Valley Girl which was having a sale. Clothes from $4.95 to $9.95!!! What a bargin! lolz. We just had to buy something because it was so cheap! haha. I bought a blue summery top... Mel bought a pink singlet. We spent most of our day in that shop. Poor Mikey. haha. But he was good about it. He found some Cd's that he wanted to buy. So at least he got something outta that shopping trip. hehe.
At night, Tina and I went to Jong's 21st. The 21st are all starting up again. We went to Manchaster Lane. I've always wanted to go there because I've had a few invitations to go to that bar but have never been able to go. So I finally got the chance to check out the place. OMG! It took us forever to get there though! haha. I met up with Tina around 6ish at Myer. We still hadn't bough Jong a present yet so we had some last minute shopping to do. I suggested to get him a card holder coz that was something a guy could use right? We had a look in Myer, saw the card holders and decided to look around to see if we could find anything better to buy. Bad decision. We walked all over Myer looking for this one present. And then decided to make it even harder and look in Melbourne Central. haha. We walked and walked until we could walk no more. Took us about an hour until we finally decided that we would just get card holder. lolz. So back we went to the same place we started at, except this time our feet were really really sore! Both of us were wearing high heels so it was ever worse! lolz. Anyways, we made our way down to Manchester Lane. I think that day it was made for us to walk as much as possible. Every decision somehow resulted in us walking that extra bit further. To get to Manchester Lane, we walked in the opposite direction, all the way up Flinders Lane thinking it was the right direction, only to realise the numbers of the buildings were going down instead of up. So we walked all the way back in the right direction and eventually found the place. It was a very cute, cosy kind of place. Nice place if you wanna just hang out and chill with a few friends and have drinks. Very warm friendly atmosphere. They said its a jazz bar but the music to me was nothing jazzy. They played a lot of oldies... but nothing really jazzy.
Saturday I worked in the afternoon at Chadstone again. I'm getting used to the Chadstone store now that I'll get confused when I go back to Knox! lolz. But its good, getting extra shifts. Not getting many at Knox atm.
At night was Ernie's 21st. She had it in Flagstaff Gardens. Very nice place to have a little picnic. Was interesting to see that there were three defined groups of friends that she had invited. Her highschool group, Uni group and Church group. hehe. We were kinda anti social at the start and were in three groups all isolated from one another. hehe. Its hard when you have a big party like that... everyone already has their groups that they're comfortable with. You try and make sure everyone mingles but sometimes it just doesn't work. When it got dark, we went back to their place and had the speeches and cake... well ice-cream in this case. hehe. I was really tired that day. I slept all the way back home... when I woke up, we were just dropping Chi home and everyone else was gone! lolz. Slept like a baby when I got home. hehe.
Sunday, I went to work. At Knox this time. Was good to be back in familiar territory. hehe. Went to REB's again. This time we had dinner at Notturno on Lygon. The famous Cabornara dish that Mikey loves. hehe. This time we brought Dave, Rani and Bud along to try.
Monday I had dance practice again. Much more productive than last time. hehe. Was getting nervous as I knew the performances were only a few days away.
Tuesday, dance practice again.
Today we had our performance for O-week at Melb Uni. Was somewhat successful. We were suppose to perform on a stage that was set up but it was soooo small!! We would have fallen off the front of the stage if we performed on that. lolz. So we were able to get the coordinator of the program to let us perform on the concrete part near the stage. I think it was better because where the stage was, it was kinda tucked away under the trees. Where we danced was more open and a lot more people saw us dancing. I didn't think the crowd was very enthusiastic though. I guess not everyone is into dancing as much as us. hehe. Well, 2 performances down, 2 to go. OMG! It's gonna be 34 degrees on Friday!!! HOT HOT HOT! I'm gonna be sweating!! lolz. We're performing at 1:45 in the afternoon!!! It's gonna be sooooo hot! Anyways, you guys can come watch and sweat with me on that hot hot afternoon! hehe. Performance is at 1:45pm on the concrete lawn at Melb Uni for tomorrow and Friday. Come support Flare! :D
Well sorry about the long post. lolz. Guess you'll read it when you're bored. hehe.

Had Chih-en's 21st on the weekend. It was at a really cute little place called Alohnia! I thought the venue was really good for the amount of people that she had. Chi looked amazing... as always. For some reason it took a while for me to be comfortable. I think because there were so many people there that I didn't really know, I felt awkward. And because it was such a small place, there wasn't anywhere to hide. hehe. But as the night went on, I talked to more people and got in the mood to socialize. The disappointing thing was that nobody danced. I was waiting for people to dance... but nobody ever did. Oh wellz. Speeches were good. Jeremy had so many things to say about Chi.. so much that Steph had to point to her watch to get Jez to stop! haha. It was funny though. Very entertaining. hehe.
After we had a quick look at bud, rani and ernie's apartment. It is a very very nice place. If I had the money, I would have definitely moved out with them! lolz. Very spacious and clean. And not very far from Uni either. We only stayed for a few minutes because we were all very tired. On the way home, it was steph, mel and i in the back seat, jeremy in the front and of course, mikey driving. About 10mins from leaving the apartment, steph, mel and I were far away in dreamland. lolz. Was quite cute. hehe.

I have been so bored at home lately. Everyone seems to be busy with things. Moving houses, going overseas, starting a new cafe, organising 21st... etc. So busy that they haven't had time for poor little me. hehe. These past few days have consisted of waking up at 11:30am, watching whatever show is on tv, eating brunch, surfing the net, chatting on msn, watching a movie, maybe sleep again, eat dinner and watch more tv shows, get back on the net and chat till 1am then in to bed. lolz. Very eventful huh? Every now and then I get offered a trip to the grocery store with mum or she wants me to run errands with her. That's the most exciting thing I can think of. lolz. I haven't been working much, which is not good. Thought I would be working heaps before I go back to uni. Oh wellz, I guess I can't complain. I have a job. I should be thankful with whatever shifts I get.
But today, I got to go out with friends. Went out with Chi and Jez to Knox, shopping for Chi's 21st dress. The dress she wanted from Myer was absolutely gorgeous! If it were blue, I would have bought it! hehe. She looked stunning! Too bad she's taken guys! haha. So anyways, it was a very short shopping trip because she couldn't be bothered looking for any other dress. She already had her eyes set on the one she bought. So with time to spare, I tried to look for a dress. But no luck there. haha. Oh, btw, girls who are going to Chi's party, MUST WEAR A DRESS! haha. Yes, its a must! Especially you, Mel! haha. Chi-en's idea of her dress code being 'formal' is for all the girls to wear dresses and for the guys to dress in black pants and shirt. I was just planning to wear my really nice blue top that my mum got me from Malaysia and black pants. But no, pants plus girls are a big 'no-no' according to Chi's dress code. haha. Great. So now I have to find a dress to wear. And I was so looking forward to wearing my new top! :( Guess I'll have to wear it somewhere else now.
Anyways, looking foward to Chi's party. I miss my glenny guys. Haven't seen a lot of them in a while. Especially Mel. But thankfully, she is back now! Yay! Can't wait to catch up with her and see all the stuff she bought! hehe

Well my mummy came home yesterday. And with her, she brought me back a whole new wardrobe of clothes! hehe. I've got so many new clothes to wear. Most are semi-formal wear because I specifically told her that I need more semi-formal clothes with all the 21st parties happening. I love my mum. She knows exactly what my taste is and what styles I like. Hence why I can only shop with her around. haha.
I'll give you one guess as to what colour dominated the pile of clothes?! lolz. I was trying on all my clothes and as I took them off to try another one on, I simply just dumped them on the floor and went out to the living room to parade in it for mum. By the time I had finished trying on all the clothes, I went into the study (where I was changing) and there was a sea of blue just laid out on the carpet. haha. It looked so cool! lolz.
My brother made a comment as to how its funny that when I go back to Malaysia for 2 weeks, I buy absolutely nothing, except for maybe one of two pieces of clothing. But when I don't go back at all, I end up with so many new pieces! haha. So he said I
shouldn't go back more often. haha.
Its annoying not having the small digital camera. I've been out on so many outings where I've needed the camera. But no, my brother had to take it with him. grrrr. I can't be bothered to blog atm... so here's what I've done in the past few days:
28/01 - CNY at Box Hill: Went for the first time to Box Hill on Chinese New Year's Eve with Bud, Yao, Ruoran and Dave. It was such a last munite decision. I got a call from Dave at about 9:30pm asking if I wanted to go. lolz. We didn't get there until 10 something. So we didn't stay for long. It was a very interesting night going there with the four guys. haha. You can imagine the amount of bagging I got from all four of them! lolz. Anyways, there were heaps of people... it was so crowded. It was just like a carnival. There were rides and games and lots of food! hehe. Lots of asian foods to choose from though it wasn't that nice. I'd rather go back to Malaysia to eat the good food. hehe.
29/01 - Chinese New Year: Was such a sad day in the sense that half our family were overseas and have no reletives here to celebrate with. haha. We felt so lonely. Just me, dad and my younger brother went out for lunch in Glenny and then I had to go to work. My dad said I should have asked my manager for double pay! haha. We also went out for dinner at Malaya. We haven't been to Malaya in ages and its now under new management. The food there isn't as good anymore. But at least it saved me having to cook! hehe.
03/02 - Dinner with Tina: Met up with Tina for dinner in the city. Finally got to see where she works in the city. And when she says Parliment Station is right outside her work place, she literally means, right outside. haha. It was so funny. We went to KoKo Black for ice chocolates and a sample taste of their chocolate food. OMG! It was soooooo sweet! I felt so sick after. Tina and I couldn't finish any of it. The sample plates look so small but now we understand why. haha. We couldn't even finish it! It was crazy. We didn't even finish our ice chocolates! lolz.
05/02 - Kristine's 21st party: She had her party at the Wheelers Hill Pub. Was an interesting night. Her sister made a video with birthday messages from friends and family. They even made an episode of McLeods Daughters for her - she loves watching McLeods Duaghters you see. haha. It was so cute.
