My brother put on his red jumper today. Red = Year 12. My baby brother is growing up. And he's not the only one. I got my Victorian Institution of Teaching (VIT) card today. Yep, no longer a student, officially a teacher. I am qualified to take a class - all by myself! hehe. I was so excited when I saw the envelope in the mail. I have been waiting for it for AGES! And finally it arrived.

But even though I've received it... a part of me kinda didn't want it to arrive. Because that meant I had no more excuse to not start teaching. No more excuse to not grow up. No more excuse to have less responsibility.

There are so many things I have to change this year. Not only am I going from a full time student to a graduate to a worker... I also have to change my bank account so I don't get charged as much because I'm no longer a student, I have to gather paperwork for registration for CRT, I need to attend professional development courses to broaden my knowledge on teaching, I have to see how long I can stay working at my part-time job and how CRT will affect it, and I have to seriously start thinking about where my life is taking me.

I got to talk to jess the other day. Finally! I haven't heard from her since she left Melbourne. Was thinking that she had forgotten about me. :( And i wouldn't blame her... judging from what she was telling me. The poor thing sounds so stressed and tired with the amount of work she has to do. Just talking about it with her made ME stressed and tired! lolz. But jess, it'll pay off. That first year will always be hard. But its part of the learning process... and you'll look back and know it was worth it.

My brother has been in Europe for more than a month. And I have to say... I miss him. Like just now, I thought I heard the garage door opening... coz this is the time he usually comes home from uni. But it was the neighbour's garage door. And just the other day it was his birthday... and I wanted to buy a cake for him like I usually do... but realised I didn't have to. It's true what they say... 'you don't know what you have until it's gone'.

I nearly got run over by a car the other day. I was at the zebra crossing and the car had slowed down because two guys crossing from the other side were already walking across. So obviously I thought the car would stop for me too. So I crossed. And when I got to the middle of the crossing, I could see in the corner of my eye that the car started moving slowly... and thinking it would stop, i just kept walking... and by the time the driver realised I was crossing, the car was about 20cm away from me. Stoopid woman! >.< Luckily she was driving so slowly... otherwise she wouldn't have stopped in time and would have hit me! And she didn't even apologize! She just waved at me to say 'keep crossing'. Stoopid woman!

Been out, here and there. Not much though. Don't know why... haven't been in a social mood lately. Even online, I don't really talk to many people... only the important ones... =P hehe. Been out with a small group of Flare peeps for lunch and dinner... and watching X-men. Went to the movies with mum yesterday (for the first time in like AGES) and saw Dreamgirls. That was good. Loved how they told the story with songs. And boy, can that Jennifer Hudson sing! Her voice was amazing! funny that Simon from American Idol told her that she was way outta her league when wanting to be the American Idol. lolz. She sure showed him! hehe

I'm only working weekends now because I told my manager ages ago that I may be getting a job around this time (obviously not anymore) so she only put me down for weekend shifts just in case. But now, seeing as I haven't gotten a job, I have so much free time on my hands that I have no idea what to do with myself. And like i said, I haven't been in the mood to socialize. So my day usually consists of walking up and down my staircase about 30 times a day. lolz. I'll go upstairs to check who's online... go back downstairs to watch tv... come back upstairs to listen to music... go back downstairs to get something to eat... and it continues for the rest of the day. lolz. What a sad life... lolz. Hence I've decided to take up a hobby. I'm learning the piano all over again. My sight reading sucks! lolz... so I've decided to use my time wisely and put it to good use. I'm currently learning a song from a Korean Drama 'My name is Kim Samsoon'. Oh thats another thing I've been doing lately. Watching a lot of korean dramas. haha. I'm so addicted!

Ok, this post is getting boring and I'm just blabbering. Time for bed. Going to make use of my time tomorrow and sort out the CRT paperwork.

A post, just for you :P

Hope everyone had a good NYE celebrations... I spent it with Melly, Kelvin and his two friends, Dan and Eugene. There was only 5 of us but it was nice. We each made a dish for dinner... we had kebabs and bread with dip made by kelv, lasange made by Dan, (too much) sushi made by melly (hehe), spiced chicken made by me, sticky date pudding made by euge and rumballs and agar agar with lychee made by me! We had sooooo much food that I thought we would have heaps of left overs but when you realise how much these guys can eat... it didn't seem that much in the end. haha. The food was soooooo yummy!!! Every dish was a BIG success! Must do it again soon guys! hehe. So by the end of the night we were soooo full!

So to work off all the food we ate... we ended up playing indoor cricket with a small soft blue ball and a water bottle. haha. Which then became dangerous as the boys starting hitting the ball purposely into me and mel. lolz. So we reverted to a more civilized and intellectual game of Scrabble. haha. Man I feel so dumb. Some of the words that these guys were coming up with... I had no clue what they meant! >.< Oh wellz, that was my English lesson for the day. lolz.

I didn't stay long in the end... I had to go pick up my brother from the station. He went to the city for NYE. But overall, the night was lowkey but very enjoyable. I'm glad I can get along well with kel and his friends. Otherwise it would have just been awkward.

Monday night I met up with a friend I havent seen or spoken to in ages! (yes yes, I'm talking about YOU!) lolz. it's been ages since we've talked but that night, I felt like we had just seen each other the day before and we were just catching up like usual. It was kinda rushed because he had to drive to Canberra the next day to start some sort of summer job. Why Canberra? good question... haha. he's a funny one that boy. hehe. Anyways, we went to Airstream in glenny, good ol glenny... hehe. Caught up with him for an hour then robby, rani and nicko come to join us. Was a good relaxing night... and I didn't realise how much i needed a night like that. But the only bad thing bout going out with a bunch of guys is that the conversation can slowly turn into 'guy' topics that I have no idea about! lolz. We... no... actually... they... talked about cars and comic book characters for quite a while, definitely not areas of my expertise. lolz. but I did learn stuff about cars and the physics behind it. ;)

Then last night I went out to dinner with Tina and Daz. Another two people i haven't seen for AGES! it was really good to catch up. And guess where we went to eat dinner? haha. Airstream! It's the place to be! hehe. The night ended with me dropping Tina home and staying at her place till 2am. lolz. We had a REALLY great chat. I miss those type of chats.

Then today I worked. Was so quiet... which made the day go sooooo slow. And I felt so tired after I got home. Prolly coz it was so hot hot hot today! Summer is here. Though i love these nights where its still bright and warm even to talk a walk... I wanna go to the beach!
