It's amazing to watch a group of young adults, who you have known since you were little, grow up and become who they are today.

I've been sucked in with all the mid year sales going on. I have spent waaaaaayyy too much this month. All up, I've probably spent at least $300!!! I've bought shoes (finally), jeans, pants, a jumper, a pinafore and a going out top! The shoes and jeans cost the most... that already added up to $200! Crazy! Dunno what's gotten into me lately... I never spend over $100 in a month! lolz... It must be the new job... now that i'm earning more money, my mind thinks i have more to spend. lolz. It's all in the mind... gotta snap out of it! I'm also wanting to buy a new winter coat... you know those long wollen coats that kinda make you look like a newsreporter? hehe... My workmate told me about a shop in the city called Piccadilly _____... I can't remember the full name. But apparently they have good quality coats that are discounted. She wore a red one the other day and she looked soooo smart in it! Just like a newsreporter! hehe. So I wanna go get one. :) *sigh... more money spending!

On Saturday morning, I lost my voice. I regained it on Sunday night but it's still a little croaky. I'm coughing non stop, wherever I go. It's so annoying. But teachers tell me, 'it's part of your job'. I'm guaranteed to lose my voice at least twice a year as a new graduate. Great. I didn't know THAT was written in my job description!
Quick update:
Kinder has been good. Pretty much settled in. Have a routine that's working well for me. Getting used to being the actual teacher and being in charge... not someone who's constantly asking if what I'm doing is right. The children have been wonderful, as always. Parents have been great too. Very supportive. My assistant is lots of fun to work with. Being around my age, we get along really well.
Working at schools, in between kinder, has been awesome! I love it! I love it! I love it! :D
Caught up with friends here and there. Going to their houses, out for dinner, shopping, sms-ing, emails. It's been good.
Parents just came back from NZ. So for one week, I was the mum of the house. Geez, its so difficult to think of what to cook each night. I don't know how mum does it everyday. But somehow, I enjoy the responsibility of looking after my brothers, especially my younger one... though it can get very tiring when I'm the only one that does the housework! >.<
Had my farewell dinner for my casual job last Wednesday night. It was lots of fun... but sad as well. AND I forgot to take a camera! haiz... :( I'm gonna miss working there... and I'm really gonna miss the people... I know I will never find a better team of people to work with. We were like a little family. Small and cosy.
Last week of term next week, then HOLIDAYS! haha... sorry to all you working people who won't get school holidays off... hehe...

Ok, so after having a big discussion at work about the Seven Wonders of the World, my previous post may not be correct.
Depending on which world you're talking about, the 'seven' wonders could well be eight... nine... ten... or more! The 'wonders' are endless according to different websites. But interesting enough, I found a site called the '
New Seven Wonders'. Yep, they're getting you to vote for places that you think should be called the Seven Wonders. Go check it out.

Hands up if you can tell me the Seven Wonders of the World? No? Only some? Or none at all? Well, let me help you out:
1. Brooklyn Bridge (USA)
2. CN Tower (Canada)
3. Channel Tunnel (England/France)
4. The Colosseum (Italy)
5. The Great Wall of China (China)
6. Itaipu Dam (Brazil)
7. The Great Pyramid (Egypt)
So now that you know, who wants to go and visit them with me? :D

OMG! I nearly died today! ok... maybe not die... thats a little over exaggerating... haha... but i nearly got into a car accident. :(
I went to chaddy today with Kelv. And I hardly ever go to chaddy... prolly twice every year?! So anyways, I was nervous about driving there because it was my first time and I was scared I would get lost. So I left the house at 11am to meet Kelv at 12:30. haha... yes, I know it wouldn't take me 1.5 hours to get there but still, I wanted to take my time and not rush. So anyways, I got there safely (and didn't get lost) but as I was turning into the entrance of Chaddy, I was confronted with a roundabout that led to different areas of the carpark. I wanted to go straight ahead and then turn left. Thinking I was in the correct lane, I went straight and .... *BEEEEEEEEEEP* The car behind me honked me so loud and long that I got such a fright but lucky was able to swerve out of the way before anything happened. Obviously I was in the wrong lane and he nearly crashed into me.
I was so shaken up about it (and yes, it shouldn't come to you as any surprise if you know me and how much I hate driving). I was shaking while driving through the carpark and to make matters worse, the stoopid guy stalked me around the carpark! I guess he wanted to make me *pay* for my mistake. I was super scared that he would get down and bash me or something if I parked the car. So i went around and around the carpark until he finally gave up and left me alone. And then when I finally did park the car, I sat in the dark for a good 15mins trying to pull myself together. Trying had not to cry, I called a friend to calm myself down.
*sigh... this is why I hate driving. >.<

Freedom Writers is my favourite movie at the moment. If you haven't seen it, please go watch it. Especially my fellow colleagues. You will definitely feel inspired! :D

I walk into the store room to find activities for the children next week. Emma follows me into the store room.
"Do you 'ave this at 'ome?" she asks me.
"Which one? This one? No, I don't have this one at home. Do you?"
"Yes, I 'ave this one. I 'ave this one too!" She points at the colour card matching game. I know she doesn't have either of them but I play along.
"Do you? Wow! You must have a lot of games to play with at home." I say, while rummaging through the pile of puzzles.
"Yeah, I have a... f-ing home..." F-ing home?! Surely she didn't mean the short version of the f word?! I immediately look at her and ask her to repeat what she just said. "You have what?"
"I have f-ing at home... f-ing at home... all this, yeah..."
"Oh, you have EVERYTHING at home!"
"Yeah."
hahaha... I know what you're thinking. How could I think she said the F word? But don't be fooled by children's innocence. You'd be surprised at what some children are learning from adults nowadays! My last kinder job had boys who knew the F word all too well! >.<

I love how some people can enjoy their own company. To go to a cafe and have a coffee by themselves, go shopping alone or even go to the movies and buy a ticket for one.
I don't like doing things by myself. Not sure if it's lack of independence... or just that I enjoy having company. The other week at work, I tried to have a hot chocolate by myself at GJ while on my break. But it just didn't feel right. So I took my hot chocolate and went back to the store where I could talk to my workmate. Another week, I even tried to go shopping by myself but again, it didn't feel right. So after 10mins of walking around, I went home and went shopping with mum the next day. I would never go to the movies alone but decided to watch a movie by myself at home. You would think i could at least watch a movie by myself in the comfort of my own home, but no, I knew I would have enjoyed the movie even more if I had someone watching it with me.
BUT...
...there are some days where I love to just curl up in my parent's bed and watch TV in their room BY MYSELF.
... or sit in my room and play my guitar BY MYSELF
... or bake/cook something in the kitchen BY MYSELF
So maybe I do enjoy my own company... but in the comfort of my own home. Hopefully one day I'll be able to go out in public by myself... hopefully.
