how do we choose the right decision without knowing the outcome?
why do we make decisions only to find out it's the wrong one?
what do we do with the outcome when it's not what we expected?
who can we blame when there is no one to blame?
i need to move on... i need to get over it... but why do i keep finding myself back at square one?
why would you do that me?

my new camera :)

So I didn't have to choose. My dad chose one for me! Clearly it's neither of the ones I wanted... but its still pretty good. It's very high-tech. So high-tech that I was struggling to take photos with it the other night. My fingers kept touching things on the touch screen which made it do weird things. I'll have to read the manual at some point.

For my trip, I need to buy a camera. I have been looking at these two:

They're both pretty similar:
IXUS95 - 10 megapixels, 3x optical zoom, a 2.5” LCD screen, Optical Image Stabiliser, ISO auto, motion detection technology and Face Detection.
IXUS120 - 12.1 megapixels, 4x optical zoom, 2.7" LCD screen, 28mm wide-angle lens and image stabiliser.
The only thing separating them is the price: $300 versus $500... keeping in mind that I'm trying to save money wherever I can.
decisions... decisions... i still have to decide on a notebook as well! *sigh... spending all my money before I've even left!

My agency rang me a couple of nights ago just to check in with me and if I had any questions that needed answering. I was curious about the weather so I asked what the temperature was that day. The conversatioin went something like this:
'Oh, and what's the weather like at the moment?'
'Quite warm actually...'
'Oh that's good to hear.'
'Yeah, today was a top of 15...'
'15?! That's not warm!'
'It is to us!'
hahaha... oh dear... it's going to take a lot of adjustment for me to feel warm on a 15 degree day!
So after that conversation, I've decided to keep a tab on London's weather so I can get a feel of what to expect. I looked at the weather forecast for the the next 7 days and they have maximums of around 10-14... but next sat they have a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 5!!! How can 5 be a maximum?!?! I'm gonna freeeeeeeeeze!!!! :S scarves, beanies, gloves, thermals... definitely on my list of things to take! It's like I'm going to the snow for a whole year!

Jokes of the Day (provided by Shar):
please tell these jokes in the following order for optimal reaction. What is brown and sticky?
A stick.
What is the difference between roast chicken and pea soup?
You can roast a chicken but you can't 'pea' soup.
What do you call a boomerang that doesn't come back?
A stick.
I went to celebrate two birthdays tonight at a little restaurant called Little Beijing House in Blackburn. It was definitely a fun night with a lot of the entertainment from a little man called Joon. He's a talkative one, making us wait as he is always the last to finish his food whenever we go out. But we forgive him because it is what comes out of his mouth that makes dinners like these so much fun. I had the privilege of sitting next to him tonight. I haven't laughed so much in ages!
Tonight we had a lot of discussions about poultry as this restaurant was apparently famous for its peking duck.
Poultry 101:
To kill a chicken you pick it up by the body and spin it around really fast until the neck breaks.
You can hypnotise a chicken by gently stroking its breast bone.
You shouldn't breed your own animals for the purpose of providing a meal.
A drumstick plus thigh does not equal a whole drumstick - despite whether it is a duck or chicken.
Tell a friend that duck taste and looks like chicken so that they'll eat it.
