Two guys, a girl and the Cuckoo Restaurant...

OMG! I had the most amazing time last night. Robby and Nick gave me a coupon for my birthday (made by them) which entitled me to a dinner, drinks and coffee. I cashed it in last night but apparently i didn't read the fine print where it said that they got to choose the place and couldn't tell me where. haha. So the few days before, I was stressing over what to wear. Its annoying when you don't know where you're going! haha. I didn't know whether to wear jeans and a nice top? black pants? a dress? a skirt? high heels? flats? hair up? hair down? haha... so many decisions i had to make based on what I could only hope would best suit the place we were going to. I was scared that they were gonna take me to McDonalds. haha.

So after an hour of trying out different outfits, I finally decided on one. Only to have to change at the last minute when I saw them getting out of the car in their black pants and shirts. They looked so formal whereas what I was wearing was nice, but more smart casual. So I quickly changed. haha. After all that.

Got into the car, still unaware of where we were going until they started driving towards knox. Hrmm... to Knox Ozone we were going. I kinda made a remark that suggested I didn't want to go there... haha... unintentionally of course... and as we were in the turning lane to drive into knox, robby made a spontaneous decision and started driving to mt dandy. Made a few phonecalls, booked for a table of 3 and within 15mins, we arrived at a place called The Cuckoo Restaurant. From the outside it looked interesting and there were heaps of cars parked on the roadside near the restaurant. It was packed! My first impression was that it was definitely a famous restaurant that I had never heard of! haha.

As soon as I walked inside, the atmosphere was amazing. It had such a warm, friendly environment and you could tell everyone was there to have fun. It wasa buffet style with a European Smorgasbord that had amazing food! Oh, and the desserts were sooo cute! The night provided entertainment, a floor show of yodelling and slap dancing. The guy was so good. He got volunteers up to help him yodel. And as he introduced them all, he asked what their nationality was. He was so talented that each different country that he was told, he could do a dance or sing a song from that country! He was so good! lolz I was impressed! Then there was a girl who had the most amazing singing voice. It was so sweet and so soothing... she was gorgeous! Can't believe she's a waitress there. She should be singing, not serving people!

As we were eating dinner, a guy was going around taking photos of each table. He came to our table and took a photo of us three. Then he points to Robby and I to take a 'couple' photo... haha... and of course we tell him we're not... then he points to me and nick... haha... and again tell him we're not either. Then he left saying 'well, I guess you two will have to keep fighting' haha. So cute! I was gonna buy the photo that he took but he's not a very good photographer. In the fact that he just takes the photo without making sure everyone's ready. Coz when the photos got developed, it showed Robby trying to make sure he didn't have food in his mouth! haha So yeah, it didn't look too good. haha. But that's ok, coz I brought my own camera and got a better shot.

After we had our complimentary coffee, we headed off. Oh, but not before Robby bought me Otto!!! hehe... Otto's the restaurant's toy bear from germany. He's soooo cute!! And Robby was so sweet to surprise me with one when he went to pay the bill. Thanks Robby! *hugglez* Well we didn't want to go home just yet. Nick wanted to go for a walk in the dandys but we couldn't find a place to walk that didn't require us to go into the bush... hehe. So we headed back to my place and walked around the lake. It was nice just walking around with them and having a good ol' chat.

I really enjoyed the night for three reasons. One, because I had great company. Two, because we went to an amazing restaurant. And three, because it was out of my control. The fact that I didn't have to organise anything. I didn't have to do anything for anyone else. I didn't have to cook or clean anything. I didn't have to look after anyone. It was my night to be pampered and that's exactly what the guys did. Something that I havent experienced in ages! It felt so good to just sit back, relax and let the guys take care of me. The whole night, I felt at ease, without a stress or worry in the world. The boys were such gentlemen, even down to the smallest things like opening the door for me, or pulling out the chair for me to sit on. They treated me like I was someone special. And it felt so good. For I realise that when you don't have anything to stress about, you have so much more fun.

Thanks guys for an amazing night. I had the best time ever! It turned out better than I expected! You guys were fantastic company and there wasn't a second where I wasn't having fun. so... THANK YOU! *hugglez*
