Well, like many others, I was not a big fan of the Commonwealth (Stolenwealth) Games. And I thought it would come and go all in 2 weeks without me even knowing. I wasn't planning to go see any events. I'm not a big sports person, never have been and don't think I ever will. But my parents started to watch the events on TV and suddenly decided that we must go and watch an event just for the sake of it being in Melbourne. It was a 'once in a lifetime' opportunity that we shouldn't miss... according to mum and dad. So, on the computer we hopped and sourced out tickets that were still available. Quite a few still were, actually. The only even that I thought was worth watching for me was rythmic gymnastics. So last night I went to the watch the girls perform using the apparatus: ribbon and clubs.

They were amazing! I mean I've seen it before, but just seeing it live was spectacular! These girls must train so hard to make it look so easy. The Malaysian gurls were fantastic! They were bending over like there was nothing to it! It was like they had no bones in them and could bend backwards like a slinky falling down the stairs. They were incredible! They came second though, Canada beat them. They were pretty good... but I thought the Malaysians were better. Australia wasn't too bad but they kept making mistakes. Oh wellz, not like we don't have enough gold medals already! hehe

I'm now inspired to do ribbon twirling! haha... its looks so cool! Let's go buy blue ribbon! :D
