Lately I've been thinking, there is some truth in that song. I'd have to admit, sometimes I wish I could be more like a guy... mentally! lol.. not physically... oh dear, i'm gonna get myself into trouble here. lolz.

I just feel that guys have it so much easier than girls. Us girls tend to over analyse situations. We just find too much to think about that usually gets us nowhere. Our emotions get the better of us and we complicate things that don't need to be complicated. Guys, in general, look at things in black and white. They see what is there and what isn't. They don't look at things in a million and one ways and think... "what if...?" They accept the situation and move on from there. They don't dwell on the past and hope that thinking about it will change it. They don't watch so many movies of soppy romantic love stories till they expect that in real life. I think we expect so much more than guys. There's that word again. Expectations. Such a simple yet powerful word. And if not used wisely, then horrible consequences can occur. Expectations, I think, are what causes us girls to be hurt, sad, disappointed, heart broken... etc. Of course its normal, I'm sure everyone expects things. But the difference between girls and guys are that they have more realistic, simple expectations (in most cases). Girls... well, our minds tend to wander and we lose ourselves in a world that we create. A world that only we live in and expect everyone else to know how to behave according to what we think is right. And yet, even though sometimes we notice that we are asking for too much, we still see things in that mindset. So when those expectations are not met, it leads to disappointment through many shapes and forms. But without expectations, there wouldn't be any achievements in life. You would go through life with no aim, no purpose. Your life would be so mundane. Expections can lead to disappointment but it can also lead to excitement and happiness. I guess expectations are harmless if they are realistic and rational. But then again, realism and rationality to one person could be absurd and irrational to another! Guess you just gotta put yourself in others shoes and try to understand where they are coming from.

So back to my point. Its so different to be a guy. So much easier, in so many ways.
